Cultural Producer & Creative Director Based in Brooklyn, NY
I create experiences that stay with people long after they’ve walked away.
No matter the medium, I build conceptually rigorous, emotionally resonant environments that balance bold ideas with precise execution. Whether producing a multi-market activation, curating an international film program, or shaping a poetic publication, I work at the intersection of story, systems, and sensory design.
Michèle Saint-Michel is a producer with a decade of cross-disciplinary experience delivering immersive, multi-format projects in New York and international markets.
She has produced and curated large-scale hybrid exhibitions that brought together film, live performance, and installation, leading cross-functional teams of 50-200+ collaborators and managing budgets of $500k+. She has also worked with in-house creative agencies and brand teams to develop treatments, pitch campaigns, and oversee production across digital, editorial, and live channels.
In parallel, she founded Bad Saturn Media, directing the production of artist books, experimental zines, and time-based media. Running the studio has sharpened her skills in scoping, vendor management, and campaign strategy while expanding her global network of collaborators.
With a background in editorial strategy, filmmaking, and live show direction, she manages projects from concept through delivery—including production timelines, cue-based run-of-shows, install logistics, permitting, and audience experience. Her practice bridges creative ambition with operational rigor, ensuring that every project lands with cultural impact and commercial clarity.

I design experiences that linger. Felt in the body, remembered long after they’ve ended. My work begins with fragments: a gesture, an image, a line of text. From there, I build landscapes across film, performance, installation, and publishing.
I treat production as a choreography: aligning budgets, teams, and timelines with the same care as sound, light, and movement. For me, execution is part of the art, it’s how an idea finds its form. I believe environments can re-pattern perception, creating conditions where audiences don’t just watch but participate, sense, and remember differently.
Whether producing a multi-market project, curating a film program, or directing a book into the world, I hold the creative thread through complexity, balancing systems and aesthetics so the spark of the original idea remains intact.
