"Voluntary Currents" Explores Memory and Collaboration at International Trucking Service Gallery

The International Trucking Service Gallery presented "Voluntary Currents," the debut solo exhibition by multidisciplinary artist Amber Wilcox. The exhibition, which featured a captivating collection of mixed-media artwork, opened its doors to the public on Friday, June 2, 2023, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, at the gallery's downtown location on 803 Francis Street.

"Voluntary Currents" served as a compelling exploration of memory, nostalgia, and the human experience through Amber Wilcox's unique artistic lens. Inspired by Missouri settings, Wilcox masterfully blended various mediums, including paper, paper pulp, ink, painting, and soft sculpture, to create intricate compositions that captivated the viewers' imagination.

In addition to her solo work, "Voluntary Currents" featured a collaborative video installation with experimental filmmaker Michèle Saint-Michel. This immersive collaboration further expanded the boundaries of Wilcox's artistic practice, combining visual and cinematic elements to create a truly unique and captivating experience for visitors.
